Fabrum Solutions offers a comprehensive design and manufacturing service for all types of composite engineering projects.

We specialise in producing highly engineered designs to take advantage of the unique properties of composite materials and we apply this in industrial applications.  Our designs can use careful placement of simple material such as e-glass, or more exotic ones such as carbon fibre and Kevlar to achieve a better product than metals or unreinforced plastics.

Our manufacturing facility is equipped to produce high quality products using a variety of composite processing techniques including vacuum bagging, infusion, RTM and winding. We can then offer CNC waterjet, milling and turning to further process items.

See our Stock Range link for standard sized imported and locally manufactured G10 sheet and plate. Fibreglass plates and tubes can be manufactured to order in various thicknesses and dimensions, to any specifications. We also customise to the specific requirements for your engineering project.

We have developed manufacturing techniques that allow us to build specialist cryostats and dewars that are suitable for applications where low weight or low electrical conductivity are required.

These items can be built to withstand direct exposure to liquid nitrogen (-200 degrees C), or to hold items directly cryo-cooled to still lower temperatures.

Kayaks

At Fabrum Solutions, we were so impressed with a double kayak produced by local man Richard Wyatt that we offered to make them under license.  Based on a Burton surf ski, they have versatility, speed and handle rough conditions. 

We have used the design for our own adventure racing teams, playing in the surf and family holidays.  We sell Fabrum kayaks or rent them out for race events. We also race them ourselves and half even won our share of adventure races!
